Unsupported architecture: i686 — is 32-bit Linux out entirely?

Asked 118 views0 answers

We still have a small fleet of older 32-bit boxes doing one specific job, and I was hoping to run a few API scenarios on them rather than provisioning something new. The installer stops immediately:

  SDODS needs x86_64 or arm64.
  Docs: https://docs.sdods.com/docs/getting-started/installation/

I understand no browser engine is going to run there. But the API layer needs no browser at all — is the architecture check refusing something that would otherwise work, or is Node itself the blocker on these?

Nobody has answered this one. If you have hit the same thing and worked it out, that is worth writing down.
