Install has been sitting on the dependency step for twenty minutes — stuck or slow?

Asked 610 views0 answers

On the VPN, laptop otherwise idle. The installer printed the dependency install step and has produced nothing since. No error, no progress, cursor still blinking.

I re-ran it with --verbose and now I can see it is doing something, but it is crawling and I cannot tell whether it will finish or whether I should kill it and start over.

bash
sh install.sh --verbose

Is there a point at which I should assume it is wedged? I would rather not interrupt it halfway if re-running is worse than waiting.

Nobody has answered this one. If you have hit the same thing and worked it out, that is worth writing down.
